Suction plate nylon diaphragm

• Suction plates offer the advantage over suction cups of obtaining the soil solution over a larger area. The area from which the percolate is obtained is defined exactly and the sample does not originate from only a single point measurement. The plates are installed laterally from an excavation point and therefore draw the soil solution from the undisturbed soil area above. The surface of the suction plate consists of a nylon film with a pore size of 0.45 μm. This is supported by a layer of hydrophile PE sinter beneath. The housing of the suction plate is made by standard of inert PE but can also be supplied in stainless steel.

  For lysimeters, lysimeter bases can, on request, be equipped with up to 7 suction plates depending on size.
