  Both rain and snow can be recorded using this rain gauge. Measurement is based on the HELLMANN principle. The precipitation in this version of the HELLMANN rain gauge is directly captured in the measurement vessel so that the corresponding value only needs to be read off. The collecting surface of 100 cm² is limited by a sharp ring.
