New era of UGT: Dr. Sascha Reth sole shareholder

Dr. Manfred Seyfarth and Bernd Fürst transferred their shares in the company in full to Dr. Sascha Reth at the beginning of 2022.

"With this step, we want to continue our successful business development in a future-oriented manner. We are convinced that Dr. Reth will continue to manage UGT GmbH in our interests and drive forward the modernization course already initiated," said Bernd Fürst at the official handover of the shares.

It has been 30 years since Dr. Manfred Seyfarth and Bernd Fürst founded Umwelt-Geräte-Technik Gmbh in Müncheberg. A lot has happened since 1992 and the company has developed into one of the world's leading manufacturers of lysimeter and measurement technology. "We are proud of what we have achieved so far and are excited to see how the journey of UGT GmbH will continue," said Dr. Seyfarth.

Dr. Sascha Reth has been part of the team for almost 15 years. With a doctorate in biology, he opened the new southern branch in Freising in 2008, which moved to the Munich Airport Business Park two years ago. Dr. Reth has been a co-partner and managing director of UGT GmbH since 2012. "I would like to lead Umwelt-Geräte-Technik GmbH into a new era together with my fellow managing director Dr. Marco Reiche. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Seyfarth and Mr. Fürst and wish them the very best for the future," says Dr. Sascha Reth.
