Project: Easy-To-Go Lysimeter in Großbeeren
Measuring evapotranspiration from soil-vegetation units with our small lysimeters. Read more about the project.
Together with Isabelle Schnabel, Nele Stock and David Zimmerling of the Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Gartenbau und Arboristik e.V., we installed four of our Easy-To-Go Lysimeters and one Weather Station at their test field in Großbeeren, Brandenburg.
The goal of the project is the comprehensive monitoring of evapotranspiration from soil-vegetation units. The focus of the study is on various perennial plant species and different substrate types, particularly with regard to their role and changes in the context of climate change.
In addition to measuring evapotranspiration, the researchers will systematically record and analyze percolation water, soil moisture, and relevant weather data. By integrating these parameters, the project aims to develop a deeper understanding of the interactions between vegetation, soil, and climatic conditions — an essential foundation for addressing future challenges posed by changing environmental conditions.
