Picarro PI5310 Analyzer
Picarro PI5310 Analyzer
The Picarro PI5310 gas concentration analyzer is designed for high-precision measurements of nitrous oxide (N2O) and carbon monoxide (CO). Accurate measurement of these naturally occurring greenhouse gases is critical for understanding the nitrogen cycle and for atmospheric studies related to climate change. The analyzer meets and exceeds the performance requirements of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS) for monitoring N2O and CO in the atmosphere.
The PI5310's Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) measures at pptt in the mid-infrared range and provides measurements of N2O and CO in the range of 1 to 1,500 ppb (parts per billion) at intervals of less than 5 seconds. The drift is less than 0.1 ppb/ 24h, so the analyzer rarely needs to be calibrated. The PI5310 is ideal for long-term atmospheric measurements required in the most demanding greenhouse gas monitoring networks.
Performance
Measuring accuracy with 5 minutes measuring time: N2O and CO: < 0.04 ppb
Drift over 24h: < 0.1 ppb
New features compared to the predecessor model G5310
- Superior precision: The updated analyzer maintains best-in-class precision when measuring N2O and CO concentrations and is able to detect even the smallest changes
- Improved drift control: The optics are housed in a sealed enclosure with precise temperature and pressure controls and are isolated from changes in environmental conditions, ensuring stable and consistent readings over even longer periods of operation.
- Linux operating system: Say goodbye to spontaneous Windows updates that reboot the system and interrupt data acquisition. Automatic data export via RS-232, Modbus or analog 4-20 mA (optional) possible.
- Remote maintenance possible: Reduced service complexity and user-friendly maintenance procedures ensure minimal downtime in the field.
- Streamlined operation: Simplified housing design with a single main box, no special power pump unit (PPU) required.
