The UGT underfloor container is a practical accessory for pore water sampling from soils. With its compact dimensions of 40 × 30 × 33.5 cm, it is ideal for underfloor installation in the field and protects sample bottles and suction probe connections. Thanks to the prepared hose feed-throughs, the container can be used with both manual vacuum pumps and (semi-)automated suction probe systems.

Inside the container is a bottle magazine, which can be equipped with collection bottles in various sizes and quantities for pore water, depending on customer requirements. Depending on the application, the suction probe capillaries are connected either directly to the connection caps of the collection bottles or to a cock manifold inside the container, which serves as a vacuum distribution system.

The hinged lid provides easy access, while the integrated EPP foam insulation provides thermal protection and maintains stable storage conditions for the samples. The container protects the sampling equipment and bottles from moisture, mechanical damage, and external influences such as animals. The lid must be positioned above the surface so that it is visible at all times and easy to open. The underground container can be protected from possible flooding by piling up soil around it.
