Picarro G2201-i CRDS Analyzer
Field-ready isotope analyzer for the determination of carbon sources
δ13C for methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2)
Soils, as sources and sinks in the carbon dioxide and methane cycles, represent an important variable in the global climate balance. The various components of the soil/atmosphere system contribute in complex ways. Isotope studies are an indispensable tool for a precise knowledge of the conversion processes.
The G2201-i simplifies the study enormously. It is ready to use within minutes, yet is small and rugged for easy field use. The instrument can be operated for months without user interaction. The concentrations of CO2, H2O, and CH4 are precisely detected, thus compensating for mutual interference between the different species. This further eliminates the need for gas drying.
For sample preparation or in-situ measurement, different systems are available for various applications:
- Dissolved inorganic/organic carbon (DIC) from liquid and solid samples.
- Automated sample feeding
- Small gas volumes, enriched samples
Combine Picarro analyzers with our gas measuring hoods, Ecotrons and Lysimeters and follow the carbon cycle through your entire ecosystem - in the field or under controlled conditions in the laboratory.
