UGT TerraFlux gas measuring chamber
UGT TerraFlux gas measuring chamber
The TerraFlux is a portable, automatic gas measurement hood that we have developed specifically for the precise measurement of gas fluxes from plants and soil. It is available in diameters of 300 or 500 mm and in either a transparent or opaque version. Furthermore the height is extendable with intermediate stackable segments.
Advantages of soil flux measurement with the TerraFlux
- Transparent or opaque, gas-tight hood with minimal self-shading: Enables precise measurement of the Net Ecosystem Exchange (NEE) of soils or measurement of soil respiration (SR)
- Closed dynamic system (non-steady-state through-flow): The air measured in the gas analyzer is recirculated, preventing negative pressure. Ideal for determining gas accumulations or decreases over extended periods.
Applications
- Research on carbon balance, greenhouse gases, climate change, etc.
- Agricultural emission studies
- Greenhouse gas monitoring
- Landfill gas measurement
- Soil restoration and remediation
- Carbon management and emissions trading
