UGT on tour: 22nd World Congress of Soil Science
We made the long journey to Scotland to present our solutions for sustainable soil science.
In addition to a lot of good humor, our CEO Dr. Sascha Reth and our customer consultant Dr. Christian Heerdt had a full-size EcoLab and a larger-than-life sample of a tensiometer in their luggage. And of course our new booth in the completely revised UGT design.
The two had interesting conversations, for example about the effects of climate change on soils and plants and how best to respond.
Two solutions often mentioned were more sustainable agriculture and more biodiversity. To really know how different soils and plants respond to different climate scenarios, undisturbed simulations are a good way to do this. In this way, research institutions as well as farmers can make forecasts for the future and issue or make recommendations for action.
Accordingly, our EcoLabs, which we manufacture precisely to customer requirements for various projects, were in great demand at the congress.
