Radius dendrometer DR
Radius dendrometer DR
This sensor for recording tree trunk growth is characterised by its stable installation. It is anchored in the heartwood with two screws and thus measures the change outside the heartwood as radial growth.
This installation guarantees very high measurement stability for long-term measurements and provides a stable attachment. At the measuring point itself, there is only a slight counter-pressure so that radial growth is not inhibited by the sensor. The damage to the tree caused by the necessary drilling can be minimised with tree resin. The device is connected to an external data logger to record the data. This means that it can also be connected to existing data loggers to supplement existing measuring stations. The radius dendrometer is supplied with a 2 m cable as standard. Cable extensions are available on request.
