Teledyne ISCO LevelRay
Teledyne ISCO LevelRay
The LevelRay from Teledyne ISCO is a non-contact level sensor that uses modern FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology to measure liquid levels accurately and reliably. The device is installed above the flow stream and emits radar waves that are reflected off the liquid surface. The exact level is determined based on the time between the transmitted and received signals.
Thanks to the non-contact measurement method, maintenance requirements are significantly reduced. The LevelRay is particularly suitable for demanding applications where the medium contains chemicals, fats, sludge, or suspended solids.
Floodable for continuous operation
In addition to non-contact radar measurement, the LevelRay impresses with its robust design and IP68 protection rating. This makes the sensor completely submersible and designed for continuous use under demanding conditions. When installed with the optional integrated pressure sensor, the system automatically switches from radar to pressure measurement in the event of flooding and continues to provide reliable level data even when submerged.
Easy integration into flow measurement systems
The LevelRay outputs its measured values via TIENet® or Modbus RS485. Using the TIENet protocol, the sensor can be seamlessly integrated into Teledyne ISCO DuraTracker or Signature flow meters, which calculate flow based on integrated conversion functions or user-defined level-flow relationships.
Modbus RS485 also allows the LevelRay to be easily connected to devices from other manufacturers, enabling flexible solutions for level and flow measurement.
