Conductivity
In relation to soils, conductivity plays a decisive role in characterizing soil quality, soil structure and the availability of nutrients for plants. The conductivity of a soil is influenced by various factors such as the composition of the soil, the soil moisture, the soil temperature and the pH value. Measuring the electrical conductivity in the soil can provide important information about the soil condition and enables soil problems to be identified at an early stage and treated in a targeted manner. Conductivity can also serve as an indicator of soil fertility and the efficiency of irrigation systems.
