Precipitation
Rain gauges or precipitation gauges, like precipitation collectors, are used to measure and monitor precipitation such as rain, snow, drizzle, sleet, hail, etc.
While precipitation collectors are devices for collecting and storing precipitation, precipitation gauges measure the amount of precipitation in a given period of time. Precipitation gauges are often used in meteorology and hydrology to determine the amount of precipitation manually or fully automatically.
